retail channel. In 2001, iHost Networks established a hosting offering for the exclusive
use of Web Easy customers called iEasySite.
Most Web Easy customers are establishing a Web presence for the first time. Since this is
their first experience with Web Building many aspects of the process were confusing,
particularly uploading to a host. iHost Networks worked with the owner to add its Instant
Publisher into Web Easy. Once integrated, the Web site builders could seamlessly transition
from creating a site to seeing it online.
The owner of Web Easy was also interested in generating revenues from hosting, but did not
want the expense of running their own operations.
